Title: Technical Architect - TA001

Summary
Knowledge Tranzfer is currently seeking a number of Technical Architects in support of our customers' implementations of CRM technologies. The Technical Architect functions as member of a consulting team and conducts complex technology/software design, development and deployment tasks. The Technical Architect provides architectural oversight for the development of software applications, systems, and/or products specifically designed to solve the business problems related to CRM. The Technical Architect's expertise and work efforts focus primarily on the implementation of CRM software products and/or the development of custom software solutions. The Technical Architect works with other architects, various software developers, project managers, and business users to architect and design software products containing required features and functionality. As is typical with a leadership role such as this, duties are usually performed at a customer's facilities in partnership with the customer's business and IT personnel.
Responsibilities
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of the respective customer's business and CRM objectives and corresponding technology (and process) solution components.
- Gain knowledge of the respective client's industry and current technical environments.
- Assist in defining the scope - or phase - of a project utilizing qualitative and quantitative criteria, subject matter expertise and technical/business specifications.
- Plan, lead, and manage technical design.
- Partner with customers and Knowledge Tranzfer consultants to translate business rules/requirements into an optimal technical architecture(s).
- Select appropriate technological solution(s) and drive the entire technical design for a project including functional, integration, data and infrastructure design.
- Provide direct guidance in planning, designing, programming, documentation and implementation of the required technical solution(s).
- Perform reviews of new and existing solutions to ensure operational integrity and the accomplishment of stated business and technical objectives.
- Perform problem analysis, identify root causes, outline resolution options and take appropriate action to resolve problems.
- Assist with the development of test cases and plans to verify the successful implementation of technical solutions and their enabling architecture.
- Serve as a creative source of ideas/solutions to address problems to enhance individual, team and customer knowledge of CRM technologies and strategies.
- Provide technical sales support to Knowledge Tranzfer's business development team.
- Contribute to the ongoing intellectual capital needs of Knowledge Tranzfer and its customers through the authoring of white papers, case studies, etc.
Mandatory Requirements
- Domain expertise in current business strategies and enabling technologies of at least two of the following:
- Data Warehousing
- Campaign Management / Marketing Automation / Database marketing
- Analytics / Business Intelligence / Enterprise Reporting
- Sales and Customer Service delivery
- 4 year BS degree in Computer Science, OR equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years as a Solution, Enterprise, Information, System or Technical Architect.
- 1+ years consulting and systems implementation experience
- 4+ years experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- 4+ years experience in the design, development and deployment of enterprise CRM solutions and enabling technology infrastructure.
- 2+ years experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Web Services.
- 4+ years experience in the administration, configuration and programming of relational database solutions (e.g. Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server).
- 2+ years experience deploying and managing application server environments - e.g. Websphere, WebLogic, Apache.
- 3+ years experience with data management or Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) strategies and enabling tools/technologies (e.g. Ascential, Mercator, Tibco, WebMethods, etc.).
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, .NET, HTML, DHTML, XML, SQL, C++, Visual Basic, C# (Note: May not be mandatory for all roles. Dependent upon the CRM domain - i.e. Operational CRM or Analytical CRM)
- Experience in capacity planning for hardware sizing and scalability.
- Proven - and excellent - written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively commte with diverse population of both technical and non-technical people, and drive / direct / influence positive outcomes.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Visio.
- Lives near a major airport and be available to handle extensive travel to client site
Preferred Requirements
- 3+ years experience in the deployment of package CRM software (e.g. Epiphany, SSA CRM, Infor, Siebel, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- 3+ years experience with networking strategies and enabling technologies.
- Architectural experience with the deployment of Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) in Call and multi-channel Contact Centers.
- Extensive experience of J2EE or .NET.
- Experience of Disaster Recovery Planning and the design of redundant technical solutions.
